Workshop, part 2

We went to the Departament of Art and Culture of Don Bosco University, to continue with the acquisition of new and useful learning. As usual teacher Geovany (the art teacher), suggested us to take off our shoes and to start to walk around the room and to smile at our classmate. Then, we made an activity with a balloon. The balloon represented or lives, at the beginning we had to keep the balloon just with one finger, then with two and so on, until keep the balloon with both hands. Moreover, we had to exploit our classmates' lifes (the balloon), that threat represented the problems that we have through our growth process, but we had to fight to keep our lives, until the appropiate time comes and snatches our lives (when we exploit the balloons).

NOTE: This class was more attractive and significant for me, en special the activity of the balloon, that showed how hard is to keep our lives

Furthermore, we passed infront of our classmates to tell a story where we had to put in practice all what we had learned in the previous class, also teacher Geovany was helping us with the voice modulation and the place management. Then, he gave us feedback and encouraged us to improve some details.

To finish, we had an activity totally different, the teacher played relaxing music and we had to give our partners a massage, and then our classmates had to do the same with us.

NOTE: I liked this activity because we were very relaxed, and it was not something common. :D

First, students were asked to make a circle, then, they had to pass a doll and when the teacher stopped to count, the student who had the doll, must had to pass to match a flashcard with the correct meaning.
NOTE: the visual material that teachers presented were attractive and colorful.

Second, in the presentation stage, the teacher presented the topic "Verb to be, she/he" with flashcards. The teacher advised to the students that the pronoun "She" was for girls and "He" for boys. Moreover, teacher asked to the students to get in groups, and to create a collage. One group had to find images for "She" and the other group for "Him".
NOTE: In my opinion the topic was explained clearly.

Furthermore, students were presented with flash cards with drawings of she or he, then they were asked to get in groups of two, where students have to complete the correct sentences, according with the picture that the teacher showed.
NOTE: students were anxious to know what was the next activity.

In the production stage students played the dynamic "Simon says", students were asked to stand up and to make a circle. The teacher touched a part of the body but said the opposite, for example: the teacher said, touch your legs but the teacher was touching her head. The students that made a mistake, passed to the front to complete a sentence.

To finished, students made a circle and passed a ball, when the teacher stopped to count, the student who had the ball passed to the front check if the sentences that were pasted in the board are grammatically right or wrong.
NOTE: I think that this dynamic, was a good idea to check if students had understood the topic.

NOTE: I think that teachers Hazel and Abigail are very creative to make dynamics.

At the beginning, the teacher asked us to walk around the room and to smile at our classmates and also to blowing kisses to the other classmate in order to create a good atmosphere and to feel confident.

Then, we were asked to sit down making a circle, and also we were given a piece of paper and markers to write 4 questions: Who I am?, How this activity could help me?, What could made me fail? and How could help others?, this questions were represented by an animal or an object related with our personalityFurthermore, we had to pass in front of our classmates to perform the role play that we had wrote.

To finish, the teacher gave us feedback of the role play, and then he taught how to articulate the voice when teaching with  big or small groups.
